I know, I know! I said Crafting with kids and we will get to that but first, some Christmas decorations.
First up, my hot drink station. Everything you could dream of for Christmas goodies! The bottom tier has Christmas mugs from a set of Christmas dishes my mom gave me, packages of hot chocolate and marshmallow toppers. (thank you Target!)The top tier has candy canes, more marshmallows, chocolate mints and sugar cookie Hershey kisses! The tray next to the tiers holds all of my coffee and tea items.
Then we added my little gnome friend from Trader Joe's. He makes me happy! The painted canvas is from a very good friend. We went to a pottery painting place where I made coffee mugs and she made the canvas to match my favorite mug.
Here's our Christmas tree this year. We previously had a 7 ft skinny tree but the bottom lights were all that worked so we got a new shorter tree this year which meant I got all new ornaments. When I got new ornaments, I decided to be a wrapping paper snob and only get matching wrapping!
Our faux mantle has a snowy scene on it, our advent wreath and nativity. the bookshelf has a poinsettia from some wonderful friends and our handmade nativity. And though we have been trying to keep our house cleaner, it by no means is out of a catalog. We live here so along with the decorations, you get the mess too!
How do you decorate for Christmas?
